Terms of Service
Effective August 8, 2026
The agreement
These terms govern your use of Trakkt. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are using Trakkt on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that company. Trakkt is a tool for businesses. By using it you confirm you are using it for business purposes, not as a consumer.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Accounts are for individual people: don't share a login between crew members, since the audit trail depends on knowing who recorded what.
Your data
Your data is your data. Trakkt claims no ownership of the cable schedules, termination records, notes, or photos you enter, and we will never assert intellectual-property rights over them. We hold your data only to operate the service (storing it, backing it up, and displaying it to the people you have invited). You can export your project data at any time using the built-in Excel and PDF exports, and you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by emailing privacy@trakkt.ca. On request, we delete your account and personal data within 30 days.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Do not enter data you are not authorized to record.
Acceptable use
- Don't attempt to access projects or accounts you were not invited to.
- Don't probe, scan, or test the security of the service without written permission.
- Don't upload personal information about individuals who haven't consented (worker photos, private contact details, or anything similar) beyond what your normal work record legitimately requires.
- Don't use Trakkt to store unlawful content or to violate anyone else's rights.
- Don't resell or white-label the service without an agreement with us.
The record, and your judgment
Trakkt records what your team enters. It does not verify field work, and it is not a substitute for the applicable electrical code, engineered drawings, inspection, or professional judgment. Responsibility for the correctness and compliance of constructed work stays with the people and companies doing the work.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Trakkt fast and available, but the service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or retire features. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trakkt's total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You can stop using Trakkt and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we update the effective date above and notify active account holders by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the change means acceptance. Housekeeping edits that don't change your rights or obligations may be made without notice.
