TECK isn't a brand of cable. Conduit isn't the same as cable tray. And you don't gland a wire that's pulled through pipe. Every cable management tool we tried got at least one of these wrong. So we built our own.

How a cable gets tracked today.
The office prints the schedule.The crew gets a paper copy of the cable schedule.

The crew ticks the step on site. The office sees it the same second, on the same schedule, with the revision it was ticked against. Each step needs the one before it, so the sheet never claims more than the field has done. Nobody retypes anything.

Software that knows the difference.
The same 3C #12 is armoured cable in a tray on one job and wire in a pipe on the next. The spec says what it is. The install method says what the crew has to do.
TECK gets a gland at each end, so the workflow carries both, and cores can't be terminated at an end that isn't glanded.
In conduit, nothing to gland. The step isn't there to tick, and the cable belongs to a run on the conduit schedule.
Un-ticking a step un-ticks what came after. The schedule never claims more than the field has done.

The crew updates it from the jobsite.

The QA package shouldn't be a week of cleanup.
Every tick the crew made is already a row with a name and a time on it. When the inspector asks, export the cable schedule, the test reports and the termination schedule on your company header. The same day, not the week after.
